This module uses JavaScript by accessing the DOM. It can be used to explain portions of scientific illustrations and diagrams as well as make use of the shown mapping feature.
The map can be replaced by a photograph of any kind and the relevant points then can be shifted to a particular place on the photo, which when hovered over with a mouse, display appropriate information of the section of the photograph or relevant information that leads via a hyperlink to required further information, such as a new page, session registrations and so on.
This module is endless in its capability, however, because it is partly based on JavaScript, it requires JavaScript to be turned on (which in turn should be no problem nowadays with people using modern browsers).
The module also relies on CSS Stylesheets for formatting. In the case where both JavaScript and/or CSS is turned off by a user, this module degrades gracefully, which means that all the links and accessibility features still work in terms of user friendlyness and the ability to bring the user to the required destination.
